Winter warming juices are great for providing energy in the cold months.

The freshly-made fruit juices that you create yourself are one of the best and simplest ways a person can improve their energy levels. This is because the nutrition in freshly juiced vegetables and fruits is great for saturating your cells in vitamins and minerals. Vegetables and fruits are brimming with electrolyte-based materials like calcium, magnesium, sodium, and potassium. All of these substances are great for managing your metabolic function, and improving the numerous cellular processes involved with energy production.

Even trace minerals like manganese, iron, zinc, and selenium in your juices can be important for maintaining and creating energy within your body. Pro-vitamin C, A, and B minerals are also particularly important for stable physical and mental energy. When your levels of these nutrients are low, your brain and body will suffer, but fresh juice can increase your intake of naturally absorbable vitamins instantly.

If you’re looking for a simple way to improve your overall vitality and increase your energy levels, then a juice cleanse could be the perfect way to rid your body of toxins, enhance your health, and make sure that you’re ready to tackle the world around you.

Winter warming juices for energy

it’s so easy to feel cold when it is blustery and windy outside. An effective way to warm you up is getting all this amazing colour into your body. Nutrient-dense fruit and veg is amazing for bringing energy to the cells. This is what is required to warm you up on the cold blustery days.

  • Kale is amazingly abundant during autumn. It is fantastic if you have it growing in the garden. Kale is packed with nutrient dense magnesium and potassium and that’s what your immune system needs at this time of year.
  • Apples are perfect, especially organic and local. Make sure you cut the bruises out.
  • Lemons are full of antioxidants and are excellent for your immune system.
  • Add a bit of warmth with ginger, turmeric and cayenne pepper.
  • If you’re struggling with a cold or a seasonal sniffle, then whack it with one clove of garlic.

I call this the medicine juice, because you are going to really give your immune system a boost.

Lighten the load on the greens and prevent the juice from tasting too bitter with a few springs of mint and some parsley which is fantastic for your immune system. Add a bit of zing with some green or red peppers.  Heat it up with a dash of red with radish. A few apples will sweeten up the sharpness of the leafy greens.
